At last a chance to have a go at the owls again. The morning session was a no show so we broke for lunch all very civillised. Then set up again for the afternoon and almost immediately the owl came into the field hunting and stayed with us until the light disappeared. It caught at least 5-6 voles but did not come in really close,so I still have not got the shot I want yet. May be able to have another go but will be running out of time and so may have to wait and see if they return next year. Still a wonderful experience and a reasonable set of images. There are more shots in my bird gallery please have a look and enjoy.

Oh well my last day off before I go back to work. I managed to get out this morning with the camera to my new bird feeding site. I had to move from my old site and now have to start all over again but intend this site to be an all year place to visit. First callers were just the usual Blue and Great tits but still welcome all the same. Looking forward to what might show up you just never know!
Thanks to a friend I was given the chance to see and photograph wild river otter. My pictures are no prize winners but the experience for me was a dream come true and something I will never forget.Once again big thanks to my friend and check out my mammals page to see some more images
